The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The film opens with an account of Thror becoming King under the Mountain and an era of prosperity for the Dwarves. However, this era is cut short with the arrival of Smaug the dragon, who drives Thror and his people out of Erebor.

On the day of Bilbo Baggins's 111th birthday, Bilbo writes down his past adventures for Frodo Baggins, and refuses to let him read it before it's finished.

Sixty years earlier, Bilbo, a curious young Hobbit is tricked into hosting a party for Thorin and his band of dwarves. Bilbo is invited to journey with the wizard Gandalf the Grey and the Dwarves with the goal of reclaiming stolen treasure taken from their kin at the Lonely Mountain by the dragon Smaug. Gandalf unveils a map showing a secret door into the Mountain and proposes that Bilbo serve as the expedition's "burglar". The journey leads them from Bilbo's home in the Shire and into the wild, where Gandalf saves the company from mountain trolls. They encounter Radagast the Brown who tells them of a strange presence he encountered at Dol Guldur. Gandalf leads to the Elven stronghold of Rivendell, where Elrond reveals more secrets from the map. Gandalf talks with Elrond, Galadriel and Saruman the White about the presence Radagast the Brown encountered and give mild suspicion that this Necromancer is Sauron, a dark lord.

Passing over the Misty Mountains, they are captured by goblins and driven deep underground. Bilbo is separated from the group and encounters Gollum, who accidentally drops a mysterious ring that Bilbo picks up. Gollum threatens to eat Bilbo, but they settle to a game of riddles, where they agree if Bilbo wins, he would be shown out, but if he were to lose, he would be eaten. After Bilbo wins, Gollum realizes the ring has gone missing and chases after Bilbo, who discovers the ring's invisibility and escapes. After Gandalf saves the dwarves from the goblins, Bilbo rejoins the group, who are attacked by goblins and wargs. The group is saved by eagles, who fly them to safety on the Carrock. In the distance, they see the Lonely Mountain.

Deep in the Lonely Mountain, Smaug, covered in gold, wakes up.

In my opinion this film is Awesome and yet fairy tale like I really enjoyed it.
