| This is the music to describe where you are atIn certain stories biological looking places. However, it's not always enough to explore a Green Hill or enjoy some Jungle - no, sometimes nothing will do but to have the whole level made out of meat. Welcome to the Inside Location, it takes place inside a giant creature or otherwise huge organic structure. Expect to see Veins, deadly digestive organs, climbable veins, deadly bone spikes, pulsating hearts, and floors, ceilings, and backdrops made of pink, squishy meat. Lots and lots of living, pulsating meat. SO sorry if you vomited. Mysteriously, things tend to be relatively spacious, well-lit, and full of breathable air. Huh.............weird. This is usually because the level is set inside some kind of MASSIVE Cosmic Abomination or Sea Monster of some kind, especially ones that like to swallow characters whole, but sometimes it's just because the level designers felt like it. Also, because giant organs can be creepy, as can the very idea of being inside a living thing. The Heroes must carve their way out of the Leviathan's insides After they destroy it's heart or brain, they makes their way through its body to the head and cuts his way out of the eye to start off the next location. This place can also be the Underworld in very rare stories, This kind of underworld is like being inside a living being, with walls of flesh and structures like organs. This is a fairly recent phenomenon which plays upon the primal fear of being eaten. The idea of the entrance to Underworld being an actual mouth that would swallow the evil is very much used since Mideval times | |
