What are "Manipulative Villians"? 090

Trickster doesn't even begin to describe this character. If The Chessmaster is the master manipulator of events, Manipulative Villians are the master manipulator of emotions and perspectives. This is the villain who gets off on playing head games — clever and dangerous and lacking comedic overtones. He or she always has a plan, but rather than do any work, this Manipulative Villian prefers to play on other characters' emotions and then watch the victims weaken themselves as they waste their energy on fighting against fake dangers.

In many cases, despite relying on other people's emotions to achieve their aims, Manipulative Villians personally is rarely emotional and seldom burdened by notions such as empathy. Usually an intellectual creature, He is unmoved by the damage he is causing, if not actively basking in it. Thus the frequent association of how someone who does manipulative actions too often can come across as a sociopath.

Like Chessmasters, Manipulative Villians will probably have some larger scheme in mind, but tend to lose sight of it more easily, just enjoying the control they have over their peers. A highly-focused/ambitious Manipulative Villians is scary indeed; not only achieving his or her goal, but then ensuring permanent supremacy by destroying everyone he or she used to get there. And then gloating about it. A lot of Willpower is required to topple this character.

However, they never do get away with it and even are often have a mental breakdown as their plans fall apart slowly and are then fataly wounded by the hero of the story.

Good article. I find this haracter upsetting because they like to act this way with no remorse. I also feel bad for those who fall in their trap as assocaited. This villain never reveals the entire plan. They even let their associate take the blame for the wrong doing.

My pion is they use this character for murder mysteries and otther such mind game shows

Good article good quality Suspect study cheers cheers alien afro
